Qualifications and eligibility criteria: M.Sc. or equivalent course in Life sciences
with (i) B.Sc. in medical laboratory technology (MLT) and/or (ii) Diploma in
medical laboratory technology with three years experience in a scientific
research lab. Desirable : 1. Knowledge of maintaining and keeping scientific
documents of research projects. 2. Experience of phlebotomy technique to
collect blood samples from donors for research purpose. 3. Expertise of
immune-pheno-typing using flow cytometer analysis.
Fellowship: : Rs. 35,000.00
Duration: Initially for 1
year, may be extended on annual evaluation based on requirement. Job is
scheduled to begin from 1st September 2016. The work involves frequent travel
to various sister research institutions for sample and report collection.

Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), an institution of education, training and
research is established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India
under the auspices of UNESCO. The Centre will focus on cooperatively working
towarvds shared biotechnology growth in the Asia-Pacific Region. Regional
interactions in biotechnology will promote co-operation amongst the countries
to develop necessary infrastructure and capacity building for economic benefit of
our societies. The Centre would be beneficial in developing knowledge rich,
highly skilled human resource to all countries in the region. RCB will be part
of the Biotech Science Cluster (BSC) and will operate in synergy with the other
institutions in the Cluster.
