Directorate
of Gurdwara Elections, Govt. of N.C.T of Delhi was established in the year 1974 by an Act of Parliament called
the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Act, 1971 and
rules made there under mainly to conduct the election of 46 members from the general public and 9 members by way
of Co-option to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara
Management Committee for a period of 4 years for which electoral rolls are prepared and revised from time to
time.
